Tomorrow Together is a Democratic political action committee that launched with more than $10 million to push the party on AI policy ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, in an account published September 8, 2026. It is run by Karthik Ganapathy, a former aide to Senator Bernie Sanders, and Rob Flaherty, former deputy campaign manager for Kamala Harris (Source: transformernews.ai).
The committee's specific policy positions, its funders, and the races it intends to spend in are not established from the account held. Its stated purpose is to move Democratic officeholders and candidates on AI policy rather than to oppose or support the industry as such.
Position in the electoral-funding landscape
Tomorrow Together enters a field in which the largest disclosed vehicle is Leading the Future, the pro-AI super PAC reported to have raised $140 million for the midterms by August 2026 and whose stated position is opposition to state-level AI regulation. Corporate spending on the 2026 congressional races had reached $517 million over the 15 months through the end of the first quarter, with crypto, technology and online gaming donations accounting for at least $294 million of that total. A $10 million launch is an order of magnitude below those figures. See AI Industry Lobbying — The 2025-2026 Political Offensive.
It is also a party-directed vehicle rather than an industry- or safety-aligned one: its stated object is the Democratic Party's own position on AI, distinguishing it both from Leading the Future and from the AI-safety PAC ecosystem that policy writer Anton Leicht argued for in July 2026.
