Northern Data acquisition and reorganization
Rumble announced its all-stock acquisition of Northern Data in 2025, in a deal valued at roughly $767 million (Source: reuters.com). At closing on June 17, 2026 Rumble owned about 85.2% of Northern Data's shares; it said the acquisition brought "over 200 MW of unmonetized energy capacity" and one of Europe's largest independent GPU estates, and that Northern Data had raised its 2026 revenue outlook to €170–190 million from €130–150 million. The release cited a multi-year agreement with Together AI as validating demand. Quake AI combines Northern Data's assets with Rumble Cloud, the CPU, storage and network infrastructure originally built for Rumble's video delivery (Source: globenewswire.com). On September 10, 2026 the company announced it would acquire additional Northern Data shares to reach approximately 98% ownership (Source: globenewswire.com).
Maysville, Georgia contract
In a Form 8-K dated August 24, 2026, RUM Group reported that on August 23 an affiliate had entered a commercial agreement with "an unaffiliated U.S.-based third party cloud customer" for access to GPUs and GPU services at its Maysville, Georgia site, which was under development. The customer agreed to purchase GPU services in three tranches with a total order value of approximately $13.7 billion spread evenly across them, over a six-year term; for the third tranche the customer must first approve the company's proposed delivery date. The company agreed to issue the customer a warrant to buy up to 50,808,408 Class A shares at $0.01 per share, exercisable for ten years: half vests in three tranches of 16.67% as the three GPU tranches are purchased, and the other half in five tranches of 10% tied to any expansion agreements, which if fully vested would mean expansion purchases exceeding two and a half times the first three tranches. The filing states that the company "do[es] not currently have financing to fund these expenditures," expects to raise much of it through debt or equity, and remains obligated to perform even if it cannot, and it lists community opposition to data center development among the project risks (Source: sec.gov).
The Information reported on Sunday, September 13, 2026, citing a person familiar with the matter, that the customer was Anthropic (Source: thenextweb.com). Follow-on coverage reported that the Maysville facility has access to 120 megawatts of grid power with potential expansion to 180 MW, that building and equipping it could cost more than $10 billion, and that the company plans to borrow to finance it; the same coverage gave the warrant as up to 51 million shares, a rounding of the 50,808,408 in the filing. Neither company confirmed the arrangement; RUM shares rose 9% in premarket trading on September 14 (Source: investing.com). The deal is listed with Anthropic's other 2026 compute agreements at Anthropic.
